  • How do I know if my order was completed?
    After placing your order, a confirmation email will be sent to you with an order number. If you do not receive this email, please reach out to miliktoipieces@gmail.com or via the Contact page.
  • Can I change an order after it has been placed?
    Please send an email to miliktoipieces@gmail.com within 24 hours of the order being placed or reach out via the Contact section with your order number and a detail of the requests you want changed. Please make sure to write the subject line as follows with your specific order number: URGENT - Change to Order #
  • Can I checkout with Paypal if I do not have / want an account?
    Absolutely. You can proceed with the Paypal option, and when the site redirects you, you have the option to pay by credit or debit card instead of logging into your account. If there are any issues, please email miliktoipieces@gmail.com or reach out via the Contact page.
  • What domestic shipping options do you offer?
    For shipping within South Africa, Milik Toi offers domestic shipping across Mzansi at a standard shipping fee (subject to increased price for larger shipments). If you are located in Johannesburg, Milik Toi does offer local delivery. Please email miliktoipieces@gmail.com or reach out via the Contact section to request this service.
  • How do I know if you ship to my country?

  • How are international shipping costs calculated?
    South Africa is located at the southern most point of Africa, therefore international shipping can become quite costly. We hope that the affordable price of our one of a kind pieces can offset any high shipping costs. If there is an issue with the shipping price, we would suggest adding more products to your cart, as the base price of the shipment will only increase slightly with each piece added to the parcel. If there is still an issue with the shipment pricing or if you have any special requests, please email miliktoipieces@gmail.com or via the Contact page and we will get back to you within 2 business days.
  • How do I track my shipment?
    After placing your order and receiving and confirmation email, the parcel will be mailed out within 2 business days. Once the parcel has shipped, you will receive an email with a link to track your parcel.
  • How do you measure the jewelry size?
    Necklaces The size listed on each product page reflects the length from end to end of each closure to show the total circumference of each piece. If there is a hanging pendant or similar design feature that attached to the main necklace strand, this additional measurement is excluded from the overall size of the necklace. Rings In the case that a ring is adjustable, it will be listed as so on the product page. For set ring sizes, the size is listed as a US ring size. Bracelets Many of the bracelets do not list a size measurement as they are made with standard sizing or are adjustable. In the case that a measurement is listed, the style may be made with an off-standard sizing or multiple lengths to wear it. Anklets The size listed on each product page reflects the length from end to end of each closure to show the total circumference of each piece.
  • Where are your materials from?
    Each Milik Toi piece uses a mix of found materials, hand made materials or store bought materials. Due to the one of a kind nature of each piece, many details are not known about the acquired materials, e.g. type of gemstone/stone or metal composition, so it is suggested that you follow the Care Instructions for the specific material called out on your product's detail page or reach out with any inquiries.
  • What is the Milik Toi tag made of?
    Each Milik Toi tag is comprised of a silver or gold colored stainless steel dog tag baked with a colored clay from its specific collection. The two materials represent the contrast of something beautiful being made perfectly and precisely, while nature has the ability to make beautiful materials through irregularity. Each tag is made uniquely one of a kind and without the Milik Toi logo, to showcase that your purchased Milik Toi pieces is changing possession from my hands to yours.
  • How do you maintain the cleanliness of your found pieces?
    Cleanliness is a major responsibility of the Milik Toi team, understanding its importance in the global environment. Each piece is properly sanitised from the start of its journey, after each photoshoot and before shipment to maintain our regimented cleanliness responsibilities.
  • How do I care for my Milik Toi piece?
    Resin Resin is a durable material, but there are certain requirements that should be maintained when taking care of your one of a kind piece. Do not place your piece into direct sunlight, as this may warp the resin. In cases where resin overheats, bring into cooler temperature and lay flat / remold until your item returns to room temp. It is ok to get resin based items wet, as it will not impact the lifetime of your product. However, if your material has mixed materials, please review each material's care information, as they may not wear in the same manner. Metal Avoid exposure to water as metal may tarnish. Shell / Rock / Stone / Wood Although each piece has been passed by quality control, it is recommended that you not start the mosh pit at a concert or join the kiddos to a bouncy house, as the natural elements of many of these pieces may be too delicate or heavy for such activities. Avoid exposure to water and direct sunlight as to avoid unwanted wear & tear of your one of a kind piece. With some materials, long exposure can cause discoloration, warping and abrasion of the materials that make the design. Gold Foil / Paint Due to the sensitive nature of gold foil and some paints, pieces with these products have been varnished to maintain its identity and design. Varnish will help make your Milik Toi pieces more susceptible to the wear and tear of everyday life. However, it is suggested to avoid wearing these pieces in water and to avoid extended stay in direct sunlight.
